Engineer - Ryan Mann
Ryan is a third-year Energy Engineering major at UC Berkeley with a long-time interest in sustainability and energy technology. During his time at university, he has worked as a member of the school’s solar race car team, researched and analyzed data for a electric-grid simulation computer game, expanded and vetted a global energy storage database, and developed market entry strategies for an electric-vehicle-simulation program.
Previously, as a high school student in San Diego, Ryan implemented and led a number of campus recycling programs as a member of the student government, assisted with a campus energy efficiency/demand response audit, performed social media marketing analysis for a wind turbine insurance firm, worked as a research assistant for an algae biofuel lab, and designed corporate sponsorship welcome packets for a regional renewable energy advocacy organization.
Ryan’s hobbies include dance, DJing, parkour, playing violin, and reading.
